Please begin by telling us the reference number you have been assigned when you first contacted us. This will be in the form a 3-digit country code and a 3-digit number (e.g., GHA-003). If you don't have it yet, or you don't know your reference number, please put N/A.
Please provide us with your email address:
May we also have your Whatsapp number for faster communication? (We promise this is just between you and us!)
What should we call you (e.g., Beth, Ubong, Matthew)?
We'd like to know how you heard about us. If it was from one of our advocates, please write the name below. If you saw us on social media, please indicate which platform you saw us on. Any other way, please briefly describe. Thank you.
This scheme is for people in part or full time work. Are you?
If yes, please continue. If not, click here and we will take you to the application for an advocate rather than an ambassador.
It is very important that we understand the location of your work. How many in or attached to your workspace, including yourself?
If over 50, approximately how many?
Is your workplace
If your workplace has less than 20 people, to be accepted for the scheme, you must agree to find neighbouring workplaces or find other ways to administer the program to at least 20 people twice a year. Do you agree?
Please describe in a few words the nature of your workplace (e.g., police station, college, office, warehouse, factory, hairdresser, etc.) for reference. Tell us if you are based there, or if you are ‘out and about’ and for approximately how much of your time?
You understand and agree we require you to obtain boss approval for you doing this work in their workspace.
If not, please specify why.
You understand we need to know for reference purposes where you work; you don’t need to tell us now, and we can agree not to make the name public if you do not wish us to.
We will need to know the name of your boss who has approved your application and his position in the organisation.
There are several ways to handle boss approval, including us writing to them on a no-names basis if you prefer. If your application is accepted, we will share those at the next stage.
Now the formalities are out of the way, please tell us more about yourself.
Please share with us a picture of yourself, ideally one where you look business-like, confident and approachable. Kindly use your name as the file name.
Tell us your age group.
Tell us about your interests.
We want people joining NZASAP to want to be part of the solution. Does that apply to you?
Please expand your answer in relation to your perspective on climate change and sustainability issues. (100 words max)
Have you had any experience in gathering people and forming a group; talking about a shared interest (e.g., shopping trip, family trip, host, etc.)? Please tell us about it.
Are you currently or in the past a member of other climate advocacy organizations? Please tell us about them.
Can you picture yourself doing this? Getting your workplace colleagues together to go through the climate discussion sessions organized in our handbook? Hoping so, as this is what it's all about and we're hoping you will really enjoy it.
This is for any other information, or indeed questions. If you feel you can do the role, and would like to, but do not quite fit all the above boxes, tell us here. It is a workplace scheme, so you have to be working; and you have to agree to talk to at least 20 people twice a year to be a proper member. Subject to that, we are all ears. And thanks!
